Banda Valeu is a collective of musicians that share a passion for Brazilian music in its original version but also with a spontaneous, improvisational twist.The sensual bossa nova of the '60s meets the all-time classic samba making a stop at the funky grooves of the '70s and culminating to the contemporary genre of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) with a Jazzy mood. From Rio de Janeiro to Bahia and from Minas Gerais to Belo Horizonte they use music as a vehicle to a journey rich in rhythm, colors, pictures and sounds that captivates for emerging fans and long-time aficionados of Brazilian music and culture.
The concert is part of a series of events organized by the SNFCC, dedicated to the sounds of Brazil. All SNFCC events are free and open to all, thanks to an exclusive grant of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
